Ultrasound
Central Valley Medical and Women’s Imaging uses state of the art Acuson Sequoia ultrasound machines.
Ultrasound scanning, (also called ultrasound imaging or sonography) is a method of obtaining images from inside the human body using high-frequency sound waves. The sound waves are recorded and displayed as a live image. Because ultrasound images are captured in real-time, they can show the movement of internal tissues and organs, and enable physicians and sonographers to see blood flow.
We perform many types of ultrasound including (but not limited to):
- Abdomen
- Abdominal Doppler
- Aorta
- Arterial upper and lower extremities
- Breast
- Thyroid
- Venous upper and lower extremities
- Obstetrics
- Pelvis
- Renal
